Wonderful book with wonderful recipes and photography HOWEVER the recipes are NOT exactly the same as in the restaurant. No surprise there I suppose? I wanted to learn how to make The Chia Seed Muffins, but the recipe in the book is soooo different from those on sale, yet STILL delicious. The book is beautifully bound and looks as good as the stores do.

it's got some yummy recipes, but I prefer his other book Alain Coumont's Communal Tablethe recipes are better and the story is enticing.

Got one for myself and one as a gift. Beautiful, easy to make recipes, a few that we've sampled when in NY at one of their establishments. Not fussy, not pretentious. Simple, good food. A great housewarming or hostess gift for a foodie.

best book ever. love every recipe I've tried - and I've tried 11 recipes so far. He has recipes for breads, breakfast, tartines, soups, salads, entrees, and desserts. Healthy ingredients. Quick cooking/preparation. Beautiful pictures. He doesn't pad and fluff the text up with superfluous nonsense like American Test Kitchen books. Actually, the descriptors are minimal. The bulk of the text lies in the instructions, which are great. There aren't paragraphs of impertinent narratives and comments that have no impact on your preparation of the meal, which is awesome. Kudos to Coumont for many reasons. It is a straightforward recipe book full of delicious, interesting combination of flavors you wouldn't have envisioned on your own, which enliven and broaden the palate. Simple servings can be delectable, healthy, satisfying, and yes...beautifully plated!! I'm so glad I happened on his restaurant in Philadelphia and discovered his goods and the cookbook. Dessert section is fantastic. I love baking. I have been repeatedly disappointed with American desserts and American-written dessert cookbooks. The European patissiers, I will more likely trust. Coumont is a genius.

Had opportunity to eat in their restaurant in Covent Garden, London. Good whole food recipes. Lots of soups. One bread that I need to do again as it didn't turn out quite right. Not sure if it's their recipe of my baking skill. The book is nearby to enjoy a recipe or a read.

Does not really contains the recipes I used to loved in France ... but it's a best of maybe not mine.

I really like this book because it has great pictures of the food and includes many vegetarian recipes. If you want to make wonderful bread from scratch, you can learn it here, including making a sourdough starter. I don't buy many cookbooks anymore, but I thought this one was worth it.

I bought this book because I love gazpacho from Le Pain Quotidien. Now that I've got their cookbook I can make it any time! In addition to gazpacho, I already tried their carrot salad and oatmeal with berries. All three dishes had easy-to-follow recipes and turned out yummy. Enjoy!

About the Author

Nilanjan Ray Chaudhuri received his Ph.D. degree from Imperial College London, UK. His research interests include power system dynamics and control, application of power electronics in power systems, online system identification, FACTS, HVDC, and renewable energy systems. He serves as an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery. Nilanjan is a member of the WECC’s HVDC modeling Task Force, multiple CIGRE’ subcommittees, a member of the IEEE, IEEE PES, CIGRE’ and Sigma Xi.

Balarko Chaudhuri is a Senior Lecturer in the department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Imperial College London, UK. His areas of expertise include electric power transmission systems, control theory, smart grids and renewable energy. He is an associate editor of the IEEE Systems Journal and Elsevier Control Engineering Practice. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE.

Rajat Majumder did his PhD in Power Systems at Imperial College London, UK. He specializes in power system analysis, modeling and control design, with special emphasis on dynamic stability issues in large interconnected power grids involving HVDC and FACTS. He is serving as an editorial board member of Institute of Engineering Technology’s (IET) Proceedings of Generation, Transmission and Distribution. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE.

Amirnaser Yazdani is an Associate Professor with Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada. From 2006 to 2011, he was an Assistant Professor with the University of Western Ontario in London, Canada, and prior to that he was with Digital Predictive Systems (DPS) Inc., Mississauga, Canada, active in the design and production of power converters for wind energy systems. Dr. Yazdani has extensive industry and academic experience in design, modeling, and analysis of switching power converters and railway signaling systems, and has served as an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE, a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario, Canada, and a co-author of the book Voltage-Sourced Converters in Power Systems, published by IEEE/Wiley Press, 2010.

This book is not like any other book on operating systems that I have read. It covers every aspect of operating systems design and implementation including boot loaders which is lacking in other books. It guides you through the implementation of an operating system by using simple programs that eventually lead to the development of a complete operating system.I highly recommend this to any student of operating systems design and implementation.

First simple multitasking program fails because the assembler has trouble creating an object file. Mind you this is from the source files directly from the author. I'll update further as I continue..
